If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.
Surgery
Along with the preventive surgeries of spaying and neutering, the doctors at Lebanon Animal Clinic are experienced surgeons that routinely perform soft tissue and orthopedic surgical procedures. These include fracture repairs, joint surgeries, bladder stone removal, intestinal surgery, traumatic wounds, lacerations, mass removals, and many others. Additionally, if the surgical complexity is beyond the scope of our surgeons(for example: back surgery for a herniated disc, TPLO for large dogs with ruptured cruciate ligaments, or liver shunts) we have a network of surgical specialists to draw from to ensure your pet receives the best and most appropriate care.
Preventive medicine
One of the hallmarks of the veterinary care we offer is the ability to prevent your pet from being exposed to serious and potentially life threatening diseases. This is achieved not only by establishing a comprehensive vaccination program for your pet, but it also includes ensuring that your pet is being treated for parasites like fleas, roundworms, whipworms, and heartworms. Additionally, we strive to keep you educated about regionally specific diseases like Salmon poisoning where knowledge is your best prevention.
Complementary Services
Pets, just like people, can develop arthritis as they age, and maintaining your pet’s comfort in all stages of life is one of our goals. To achieve this, Lebanon Animal Clinic offers nutritional support products and pain medications. We also provide complementary services utilizing therapeutic class 4 lasers and acupuncture treatments. By combining all of these modalities, we offer every opportunity for your pet to live a long and active life.
Radiology
Everyone knows that X-rays are used to check for broken bones, and we do that on a regular basis. Radiology is also an excellent way to assess normal bone structure and development. This is especially important in breeding animals and we coordinate with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals to help our breeders develop pets with solid hips and elbows. Radiology is not limited to looking at bones, this technology is also an excellent tool for looking at cardiac size, checking for early signs of heart and lung disease, and looking for abdominal abnormalities (bladder stones, foreign bodies, and tumors, etc.).
